Swarovski Crystal Fashion Components make Design Sparkle
Crystal appliqués on denim, shirts, wrist bands, even skin was one of the brighter components of Bread and Butter in Berlin trade show July 16-18, 02004. Swarovski’s crystals have been found on runways in Milan, New York, Paris, and London; on gowns from Nicole Kidman’s Gucci worn at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, to Kate Hudson’s Donatella Versace dress at the 02003 Academy Awards.
The most street version of the application of Crystal has recently been found as a form of graffiti or stenciled art on new canvases such as denim and T-shirts. The shiny Crystals are unique in many ways: like rhinestones they sparkle madly, but don’t require sewing as part of the application. Models and fashion-forward people are sparkling more often with Swarovski’s Crystals. Look for them in everyday wear as accessories and even skin-appliques to enhance color make-up in the near future.
