Alpinestars is one of those brands that we’ve seen transform itself from providing the core gear, apparel, pads, and boots necessary for today’s top freestyle motocross riders around the world, to punching through boundaries towards delivering hot new apparel lifestyle collections, particularly for young women. First at Bread & Butter in Barcelona last year, when the Alpinestars booth had artists painting on motocross boots which attracted scores of curious fans and the introduction of an interesting women’s collection that included punk-inspired dresses, to their own runway show at the Action Sports Retailer Trade Show last January, and again this Fall during ASR.

Along with other motocross-inspired brands such as Fox, Famous Stars & Straps, SRH, Metal Mulisha, and others, Alpinestars is among the growing subculture of moto-inspired apparel labels that are taking over huge chunks of the streetwear marketplace.

This Fall their runway show featured new pieces that mixed up the original inspiration of the brand into creating interesting styles for young women looking for something slightly more edgy. Key colors and textures including red, white, and black, plus new looks in denim, provided the main themes of themes.

Highlights from the show included:

  • High-waisted denim shorts
  • Denim skirts with suspenders
  • High-waisted denim jeans, particularly the bootcut fit and wide belt loops
  • Red and white striped punk nautical skirt + tops
  • Red jackets
  • Red + white striped board shorts—the longer version
  • Camouflage short shorts with piping in pale blue + greys
  • Plaid tunic like an elongated grunge shirt but fitted over tights
  • Plaid knee-high a-line skirts
  • Plaid jumpers
