Lemar and Dauley Indicate Why This Seasoned Street Fashion Brand Is Unique as Indicated by New Directions Representing Key Iconic Symbols, 1992, + Collabs

When Brian Bachelor from Lemar and Dauley first showed us his latest collection from his streetwear brand, we were impressed by the meaning behind each piece and how they all related to aspects of a specific culture, mainly NYC influenced. In an extremely articulate interview with Label Networks TV, Brian talks about where the inspiration comes for his latest collection, created with partner Manhattan (“because he’s from Manhattan”) and what to expect next from the brand.

In many ways, Lemar and Dauley are street-sport influenced using basketball symbols, words and meanings from New York such as Prospect Park, and Biggy Small’s saying, “Only make moves when your hearts in it,” to a flipped version of the New York lottery logo, rainbow, and pot of gold (with Leprechaun), as well as the year 1992, which Brian explains, “is the year that our icons, Sean Jay-Z Carter, and the Notorious B.I.G. were struggling to make it happen.” They relate to this struggle and keep things real by having the 1992 emblem on many pieces, which has become a Lemar and Dauley trademark.

In addition, their collection brings with it bold graphics, big colorways, plus details in patches. Trained in fine arts, they consider themselves the “Board of Modern Art” with the intention of “preserving the culture of streetwear.”

Up next include tiered categories such as rugby shirts, varsity jackets, button-downs, and ski jackets, plus fresh collaborations with DC, Milk Crate Athletics, and Adidas next February.
