Livity Clothing is a brand that is actually more like a movement. Made up of a collective of environmental and social activists, Livity produces organic, sustainable, hemp, straw, fair trade products that are as stylish as they are cool. Styles including organic tube socks, knitted hats and fedoras, apparel, T-shirts, and luggage--the results of sustainable style. In a live interview with Label Networks, Cortland and Max explain how the brand’s target market is actually “Everyone. Because everyone can correlate to the environment.” Music, skate, surf, and snowboarding inspired, the Livity is all about positivity and making a difference as a sustainable and philosophical streetwear brand.
The brother brand is Listen Clothing which is inspired by the roots of Rastafari and Bob Marley and of course music. In another heartfelt interview, Renzo from Listen talks about the collaboration Listen created with Livity to create an historical piece in unique, hemp, DJ bag. On the cover the of bag is a rare image of Rastafari gathered together in 1966 at the Jamaica airport waiting for Haile Selassie, the icon of Bob Marley, who ironically missed the occasion because he had to work that day at the Chrysler factory. As Renzo explains, there’s righteousness in music than extends beyond fame, money, and women. As Renzo explains his brand’s philosophy, it’s based on music, which touches the lives, hearts, and the masses—no matter what the language--through the spirit of sound.
Within this piece, we hear artist Ras Attitude, who sings the story of music, lifestyle, spirit, and One Love. This is true culture.
