New Kicks on the Block, TLT, Inspired from Graffiti Bombing Freight Train Lines

In today’s corporate dominated world of sneaker culture, it’s takes a serious amount of confidence and originality to launch a new line of kicks. However that’s exactly what Noel and Scott have done with The Lines Toughest (TLT) brand, inspired by the Northern California artist, King 157. In this Label Networks TV interview, Noel and Scott talk about why they decided to launch their sneaker brand, mainly because they were sick of the way current kicks look. The styles they chose were inspired by the graffiti-based artwork found in King’s bombing of freight train lines in Northern California (see also “Label Networks TV: Interview with King 157 Train Graffiti Artist--Inspiration Behind New Sneaker Line “The Trains Toughest” (TLT) Kicks,” February).
As Scott puts it, the designs are unique but old-school: “New funk mixed with old flavor.” People who are supporting the brand by wearing the latest TLT creations include Monkey from Korn and Dean Lister from the UFC, as well as various up-and-coming skaters. Check out what TLT has to say on their brand, styles, and sneaker culture.
