Zenetti Wheel Designer Launches First-Ever Pro Skate Team by the Wheel Industry Indicating Another First in Crossover Trends

When Brooklyn Projects owner Dominic DeLuca’s announced last week that his skate and streetwear boutique would be teaming up with Zenetti, the wheel designer, to form a pro skate team, we knew it was yet another indication that traditional crossovers of fashion and action sports, or even music and action sports, had a new competitor from a different league and that market opportunities created by unique crossovers will continue to be the name of the game in our mash-up culture. Similar to DipSet announcing the launch of their DipSkate Pro Inline team (See also May story, “DipSet Launches DipSkate Pro Team Marking the New Revolution of Urban Inline a.k.a. FreeStyle Rolling (“Don’t Call this Rollerblading” Movement)”), the Zenetti team marks a first for the wheel industries and skateboard industry by pulling the two together.

The Zenetti team includes some of the top skaters on the scene today, including Jereme Rogers, Terry Kennedy, Braydon Szafranski, Stevie Williams, and Paul Rodriquez. Zenetti, the manufacturer behind the Paul Wall Grills and Wheels, and Brooklyn Projects’ Deluca plan to take their team into new areas, including car show appearances, magazine features, and advertising campaigns for the wheel designer. The idea, according to the partnership deal, is to elevate the industry of wheel designers and spark a new trend in both car culture and skateboarding.
