Designers & Agents is a show that takes place in what’s called Fashion Corner in downtown Los Angeles between 9th Street and South Los Angeles St. at the intersection of several buildings including the New Mart, Cooper Building, Lady Liberty, and California Mart–all filled with designer showrooms and contemporary brands ranging from top denim labels, to eco-friendly fashion, footwear, and accessories. When Project Fashion Trade Show was bought by Advanstar, owners of MAGIC and Pool a couple of years ago, many people wondered if this show could maintain is aesthetic edge, beauty, and most importantly, attraction to top denim brands, premium street, and contemporary. Fortunately, as we walked the halls February 13-15 in Las Vegas, it’s clear that not only has the show stepped-up its program, but continues to attract scores of buyers looking for leading-edge brands.
