Carissa Moore (HAW), 20, has won the Vans US Open of Surfing over local favorite Courtney Conlogue (USA), 20, by a score of 16.00 to 11.60. The win vaults the Hawaiian to No. 1 on the ASP Women’s WCT over then leader Tyler Wright (AUS), 19.

The Vans US Open of Surfing is the sixth of eight stops on the ASP Women’s World Championship Tour (WCT) offering crucial points towards both surfers’ ASP World Title campaigns and requalification for the 2014 ASP WCT.
