Bad Things play Lollapalooza, release debut October 8.

Gold medalist Shaun White this year had a good reason to miss the X Games in Los Angeles last weekend. He and his band Bad Things, were playing two different sets at Lollapalooza and ramping up for their debut album release which took place October 8, 2013 on Warner Bros. Records.

Bad Things , which actually is way more than just the “Shaun White band” consists of front man/lead singer Davis LeDuke, bass player Jared Palomar, guitarist Anthony Sanudo, amazing drummer Lena Zawaideh, and lead guitarist Shaun White. Their debut album titled Bad Things was produced by Rob Schnapf (Beck, Elliot Smith, The Vines).

Here’s a first taste from the album with the lead single “Anybody,” which is now streaming on YouTube and Soundcloud and will be up at iTunes, along with the album pre-order on August 13th.

Bad Things are riding high off their Lollapalooza weekend filled with breakout festival performances. They played a surprise set on Saturday afternoon with festival-founder, Perry Farrell. Then, that evening, they were asked to take the Death Grips headlining spot on The Grove Stage.

Since everyone will ask, Shaun is actually a really good lead guitar player and the band sounds like they’ve been together far longer than they actually have. They’ll hit the road again this fall around album release.

Here they are playing live at Lollapalooza covering Iggy and the Stooges’ “Search And Destroy.”
