Levi’s Red Tab footwear collection the Reused Jean Shoe project is a good idea in an eco-friendly time. Last month Levi’s hosted a Jeans Exchange Program called Give Jeans where you could bring in your old Levi’s and get 25% off on a new pair. The “good” old pairs were given to Goodwill and sales of the jeans went for Goodwill job training and career programs. The other jeans that were just too shot to re-wear again went towards the Reused Jean Shoe program.

The cool thing about these reused denim kicks other than their Converse-esque hightop appeal is that parts come with belt loops watch pockets snaps fly buttons and yellow stitching so their quite unique -even within a pair. Right now the shoes are only available in Australia and New Zealand but hopefully we’ll get them here by later this summer.
