Conde Nast has been making several transitions for the past year and has announced through an exclusive with Business of Fashion, that Style.com will become a global ecommerce platform starting this fall. The editorial that is on Style.com will be moved over to American Vogue, which should limit some of the redundancy that’s been taking place with the two sites ever since Style.com was purchased last December.
The online ecommerce marketplace is estimated at $1.5 trillion dollars, which is why so many brands are creating ecommerce and mcommerce solutions to match the demands of today’s tech-savvy shoppers.
For Style.com, the editorial team may be in jeopardy as it gets moved over to American Vogue. However there is no news yet about this.
Stay tuned for more.
